Honored Council Members

Esther is an alumni the School of Hotel Administration, majoring in hotel and restaurant administration and concentrating in finance, accounting, and real estate. She has been a core influencer for Jewish life on campus at Cornell. She has served on the boards of Chabad and Hillel and a founding member of the council. 

Jack is a founding member and a senior majoring in Computer Science in the College Of Engineering. Although he is from Panama and Brooklyn, his family is originally from Syria and Iran. Over the summer, he plans to go to Israel to travel and intern.

Emuna is a senior and founding member majoring in Operations Research and Information Science at the School of Engineering. She is from Great Neck, New York and both her parents are from Iran. 

Gidon is a founding member and an alumnus in the College of Arts and Sciences studying Near Eastern Studies and Biological Sciences with a Concentration in Neuroscience. His father’s family comes from Fez, Morocco, and his mother’s family from Shiraz, Iran. 

Layla is an alumnus and founding member who majored in Biological Sciences in CALS and on the Pre-Med track. She is from Manhattan, New York but her parents were both born in Iran and her Persian-Jewish culture has always been a big part of her life. Over the summer, she plans to visit her family in Los Angeles and intern/shadow practicing physicians.

Saul is an alumnus and founding member from Great Neck, NY. He studied Hotel Administration. Saul's mom is Iranian and his dad is Syrian. Saul aspires to pursue a career in finance, real estate, or consulting. 

Sasha is a senior and founding member majoring in Applied Econonics and Management. She is from Paris France where her family moved from Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. Over the summer, she will be interning in Israel. Outside of class, she loves cooking Sephardic recipes, Zumba, and Boxing.
